Our Company
This website is presented to introduce specifiers
and potential owners of GeoExchange systems to Geothermal
Services Inc. (GSI), and encourage them to invite
us
to become part of the GeoExchange project development
team.
Our field experience with the GeoExchange technology
can assist in making a system more cost-effective and
to help ensure the ground source heat exchanger will
deliver the performance promised. We believe the value
we offer
goes far beyond
a competitive bid on provided plans and specifications.
If you are considering a GeoExchange project, or are
active in the GeoExchange industry, we invite you to
a discussion about your projects to get a "looper’s" input.
The earth heat exchanger is critical to the operational
and financial success of a project. We are willing
to do whatever we can to help keep GeoExchange cost
effective for everyone’s benefit.
We are proud to be associated with the preferred heating
and cooling technology for the next century. GSI has
inherited many of the needed capabilities for success
in GeoExchange from our founding organization, the
Craig Test Boring Co., Inc., and other members of The
Craig Group. Other needed capabilities were added,
such as heat fusion expertise, experience with underground
utilities, knowledge of energy savings performance
contracting and performance-based financing. Today,
our capabilities for GeoExchange are complete.
The Importance of a good "Looping Contractor"
When GeoExchange is discussed at a conference, the
importance of the "looping contractor" is
emphasized. Due to the nature of commercial applications,
closed loop vertical heat exchangers are the preferred
method of supporting geothermal heat pump systems.
In some sections of the country, the development of
GeoExchange for commercial applications has suffered,
since there were no qualified "loopers" to
install vertical closed loop heat exchangers. This
is not a problem in the Northeast.
Although GSI has installed horizontal, slinky and
pond loop heat exchangers, we have concentrated on
the commercial and institutional markets, and therefore
have achieved an unparalleled level of expertise in
vertical closed loop systems.
